Setting Up Your HP DeskWriter 560c Printer
The HP DeskWriter 560c is a reliable, simultaneous black and color inkjet printer that requires a direct physical connection to your computer. Successful setup depends on using the correct cable and installing the appropriate legacy driver.
1. Initial Printer Setup (For All Users)
Ensure the printer hardware is properly prepared before attempting to connect it to any computer.
- Unpack and Remove Protection: Carefully remove all protective packaging, plastic films, and tape from both the exterior and interior of the printer.
- Install Cartridges: The DeskWriter 560c uses two cartridges: one Black and one Tri-color. Open the access cover and insert both cartridges firmly into their slots until they snap into place. Close the cover securely.
