Setting Up Your HP DeskWriter 660c Printer

The HP DeskWriter 660c is a classic color inkjet printer that requires a direct physical cable connection to your computer. Successful setup relies on making the correct wired connection and utilizing the legacy drivers included with your operating system.

1. Initial Printer Setup (For All Users)

Follow these steps to ensure the physical printer is prepared before connecting it to your computer.

  1. Unpack and Remove Protection: Carefully remove the printer from its packaging and take off all protective tapes, plastics, and foam inserts from both the exterior and the interior.

  3. Load Paper: Load a stack of standard paper into the input tray. Adjust the paper width guides to align snugly against the edges of the paper.
